Curriculum Intent
At Holy Family, we live out our mission statement in everything that we do.
'We are a caring family. We pray, learn and grow together.'
We believe that childhood should be a happy, investigative and inquiring time in our lives where there are no limits to curiosity and there is a thirst for new experiences and knowledge.
The curriculum intent aims to:
Be a memorable experience with rich SMSC opportunities that teach the children essential skills for life such as responsibility, respect, co-operation, team work and resilience.
Raise aspirations as we believe that it is their mission to become successful individuals and to achieve their true potential empowering them for whatever their future holds.
Encourage inquiring minds, promoting independent thought and a 'have a go' attitude where children are not afraid to learn from their mistakes.
Empower children to respect each other and themselves, show respect and understanding for people of all faiths, race and gender, the environment and all living things, ensuring children are well prepared for life in a rapidly changing world.
Enhance the children's well-being both emotionally and physically through a range of activities to enable them to become confident and well-balanced individuals.
