Mrs Lord's Class

'Do to others as you would have them do to you'  Luke 6:31

Welcome to Year 3/ 4. Our class teacher is Mrs Lord, our teaching assistant is Mrs Gibson and we also have Miss Scannell who works as a 1:1 teaching assistant.

Homework is given out every Friday and needs to be returned by the following Tuesday. Homework is usually reading comprehension or consolidation of maths work.

Spellings are given out each Monday and are tested the following Monday. Children are expected to spend time learning their spelling at home and at school.

Children’s reading books are checked every Monday and Friday but can be changed any day of the week. Children are responsible for changing their own reading book and putting it in the box to be recorded.

PE is taught on Tuesdays and Fridays but PE kits should be in school all week. In the autumn term, children are swimming on Mondays so need their swimming bag.

Children need to remember their instrument every Wednesday as they are working hard to learn a new instrument. They will perform three concerts over the year.

In RE we will be learning about:

Homes

Promises

Visitors

Journeys

Listening and Sharing

Giving all

Energy

Choices

Special Places

In the autumn term, children learned about World War Two. If any family members have any stories from the war, please share these with your child.

In the spring term, our topic focused on India. The children enjoyed researching things to do in India.

In the summer term, children will be learning about The Anglo Saxons. We are planning a trip to Tatton Park and more details will be sent out later this year.

Please keep checking our class page for updates.

If you have any questions, please call into school.
