Mrs Hawkrigg's Class

“Love one another. As I have loved you, so you should love one another”. John 13 :34.

Year 1/2  class teacher is Mrs Hawkrigg. Mrs O’Grady is our Teaching Assistant. Miss Toner works as 1:1 support with a child in our class.

Our class Bible quote is:

“Love one another. As I have loved you, so you should love one another”. John 13 :34.

Through this quote we are trying to live our lives as Jesus would want us to, by showing our love and care for each other.

Miss Measey teaches Year 1 in the morning for English and Maths. Please see Miss Measey’s page for information regarding Year 1 work.

Mrs. Hawkrigg teaches Year 2 in the mornings for English and Maths.

Spellings are given out on Mondays and tested on the following Monday. Spellings can be found in the green homework book which may be kept at home during the week.

Additional homework may be given in Mrs Hawkrigg’s red homework book on Fridays. This homework should be completed over the weekend and returned to school on Monday.

P.E. is on Wednesday and Thursday. Please make sure your child keeps their P.E. kit in school. We will send P.E. kits home for washing at the end of each half term.

Please hear your child read every night and send their reading book and reading diary into school every day. Please use your child’s reading diary as a communication between home and school.

In RE we will be learning about:

Holidays and Holydays

Being Sorry

This year our topics are:
